About Burhanpur

Burhanpur is a small city in Madhya Pradesh. It is located on the banks of Tapti River and is rich with Mughul built monuments. The city is well known for cloth and bananas. Among this is the Dargah-e-Hakimi dedicated to Dawoodi Bohri and is visited by my Bohri community people every year. Burhanpur has the largest Power Loom industry in the state. Besides this industry, there are many textile factories built across. Apart from shrines and other religious locations, there are nothing much to explore.
