About Jodhpur

Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan and has got two nick names “Sun City” and “Blue City”. The reason why Jodhpur is called as Blue City is because of blue painted houses across city whereas, Sun City because of sunny weather of the city. Jodhpur is located on the border of Thar Desert and is 335 kms away from capital Jaipur. The city is famous for delicious dishes like Makhaniya Lassi, Mawa Kachori, Pyaaz ki Kachori and Mirchi Bada. Jodhpur is known for its desert festivals celebrated every year. One such is the Naguar Fair, which is the second largest cattle fair in Rajasthan. Huge palaces, hotels, open deserts and narrow lanes with blue colored home are some features of Jodhpur. Jodhpur is good tourist location to explore like: Meherangarh Fort, Spice Paradise, Jaswant Thada, Jain Mahavira Temple, Clock Tower, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Phalodi Fort, Chamunda Mata Temple and other such locations.

About Hanumangarh

Hanumangarh is a small city in Rajasthan and is situated on the banks of River Ghaggar. The city is called as “The Punjab of Rajasthan” because of high Punjabi population in the town. The city doesn’t offer much interesting location to visit. However, there are few Gurudwaras and temples built in the city. Some of these are Gurudwara Sahib Sukha Singh, Gogameri Temple, Brahamaani Maata Temple and Bhadrakaali Maata Temple. There are also few historical places like Bhatner Fort and Kalibanga. One can also visit Kalibangan Archeological Museum which was established in 1983 and displays the material of excavation done here in 1961 and 1969. Hanumangarh is a pleasant place and is now under rapid development.
