Nanded is the holiest city in Maharashtra, for Sikh religion, and is best known for famous Hazur Sahib Gurudwara palace. Nanded is also the holiest city for Hindus because of the famous Renukadevi Shaktipeetha Temple. The city is located on the banks of River Godavari and is the oldest city in Marathawada region of Maharashtra.
