Also called as Devbhoomi, Rishikesh is located on the banks of River Ganga in Dehradhun district of Uttarakhand. The place is the holiest place in India and devotees visit this place during char dham yatra. The majestic statue of Lord Shiva on River Ganga is built here. The place has many yoga and meditation centers and is being conducted by gurus. Kunjapuri Temple, devoted to Goddess Sati is built here and is the most important temple in Shivalik Range. It is recommended for not to miss visiting Rishikund which is situated in Triveni Ghat, having a small pond and was filled by Yamuna River.
