Viluppuram is a municipality town in Tamil Nadu, and is 162 kms from capital Chennai. Agriculture is the main source of economy of the town. Kayamkulam is a small village in the state of Kerala. Just close to Alleppey and Quilon, Kayamkulam is connected to Kerala Backwaters. This village is known for temples and palaces that were built during ancient period and attract thousands of visitors every year. One such temple is dedicated to goddess Bhagavathy, which is known for huge traditional lamps which are lite up everyday. 18th century Krishnapuram Palace is also the option that should be visited.
