Dominated by the Rajputs, the Pali District is situated in the mid-southern part of the state of Rajasthan. Known for its cold winters and hot summers, Pali is always faced with extreme weather conditions. Pali is limited to only two modes of transport viz. roadways and railways. Pali consists of Marwar Railway Junction which is also the only railway junction in the district. The Marwar junction is connected to Jodhpur, Ajmer, Ahmedabad and Udaipur. The state government also runs two bus depots at Pali and Falna. Pali is connected to Jodhpur by the NH65. Buses are also available from Jaipur to Pali regularly. |
